Meticulously shaped by hand, its irregular, textured silhouette is a visual metaphor for the first 65 years of a life: the protrusions are the marks of the path, the accumulated learning and the layers that shape us.
The mottled finish, with its contrasts of light and shadow, reflects the duality of lived moments, while the branches emerging from its mouth symbolise continual expansion, growth and life that keeps flowering.
